Couple chooses Homestead for its wide open spaces, outstanding views
The Springhill by Trico was the perfect family-friendly home in Homestead
Often the biggest driver in choosing a new community are the feelings it inspires. For Kuldeep and Sukhjinder Mann, the “aha” moment came as they were touring the new community of Homestead, which borders the eastern boundary of the city.
“It’s just such a nice area with beautiful views of the mountains, downtown and the Calgary Tower and you are surrounded by open fields,” says Kuldeep Mann, a master electrician who works in the residential construction industry. He’s no stranger to many of Calgary’s and the surrounding area’s new communities and yet, at first take, he was struck by Homestead.
Developed by Partners Development Group, Homestead offers 27 acres of parks, wetlands and greenspace, along with four kilometres of pathways that connect to the regional pathway system.
At final build-out, the community will also be home to two schools, four one-acre large playgrounds and several playing fields with soccer fields, cricket pitches and basketball and pickleball courts. Homestead is also well situated in the northeast and offers quick access to many of the city’s major thoroughfares, including direct access to Stoney Trail and 80th Avenue N.E.
